i stand up and sit down quite a bit for work, so when i wore mine, I would constantly have to fix it... it would roll down in the front, and roll up in the back (yeah, explain that one!!! lol)
It just became more of a pain for me, so I went into maternity pants a little earlier than really needed

I wore them a lot during my first pregnancy and they worked really well. It was best for me to put the band on first and then fold the top half of the band down over my unzipped jeans. I used the hair tie trick too which also helped.

They have worked great for me, but I am fully in maternity pants at this point. I didn't love using the bands with my "regular" pants, but think the bands are the absolute best way to keep maternity pants from falling down. Without belly bands I have to hitch up my pants every five steps. With belly bands I have no issues. I've never had a big problem with them rolling down either.
It all depends on your body shape I think. I have one, and I hate it. I have a friend who started off on the slender side, and she loved hers & wore hers the entire pregnancy! In the beginning I just wore my regular jeans with the hair elastic trick, now I'm on bedrest so I stick with sweat pants, pj pants and leggings. When I do have to dress up and go somewhere I have a couple pairs of maternity pants a friend let me borrow.
My little pumpkin was born at 34weeks, weighing 3lbs, due to severe IUGR & Unexplained Placental Insufficiency. He spent 49 days in the NICU.
I've used the Beband from Target and def recommend. I suggest getting that and full panel pants only. Use the band on the full panels until they fit in addition to your regular pants (I find this much more comfortable in my work pants vs. jeans). By the time you are huge the demi-band maternity pants aren't comfortable any longer and you have wasted money on the inbetween step.

That are great! you can tuck them in your pants and roll the top over the front of your jeans..or you can wear them over the front of your jeans and put it up like maternity pants
i have target one i love it for short trips out and such and i wear it after i put lotion on to keep that greezy junk off my clothes... and i also have a support belt from babies r us i wear when i know im gonna be shoping or walking all day... they both help me alot i carry all my weight in my belly naturally anyway and when im pregnant all the belly gets waaay heavy for me to carry around.

This is how I use the belly bands too - they're great to just keep everything in place!
I think it depends. Mine worked but stopped at a certain point - I did start to carry wide, though, so that may have been part of the problem. I think whether they roll or not might also depend on where on your waist/hips you wear them and how you fold them?

mine works, its AMAZING i use it all the time! i would highly reccomend them! ive never had a problem with it rolling down or up. Sometimes if i sit weird and then get up i just have to pull it down, just like you would with a shirt so its no big deal and this doesnt happen often
I use Pea in the Pod, but I'm sure they are all pretty much the same.
The key is to put it on first, then put on your pants over it so that half of the band comes out over the top of your pants and half of the band is under your pants, zip you pants up as much as they will go, then fold the top of the band over the waist band of your pants. It doesn't roll down, and keeps your pants up perfectly with lots of stretch as you get bloated throughout the day.
I dont wear mine like this at all, i just wear it right over my pants and belly
Mine don't work with jeans for some reason (the jeans never stay up unbuttoned) but they work great for work pants. My trick is I don't fold it at all but I pull it up all the way to my boobs and put my bra on top of it (so my bra holds it in place up top). Then over the day all I have to do is pull it down if it rides up all. So far, so good.
With jeans this seems to happen to me pretty regularly, but the Be Band from target has worked well with my work pants. I'm still looking for maternity pants that I like and fit lengthwise. In the meantime I look at the be band as my way of getting by. It's hard for me to spend money on clothes that i really don't like and so far maternity pants have been a real challenge.
Re: do bellybands work?
I have one on now.... they work great.
Mine kind of comes up over my belly - so it doesn't roll down.
