So last week I was mad because my doctor diagnosed my daughter's skin rash on her face as herpes. So he prescribed us medicine - it did not work at all. So now we are going to be referred to a dermatologist. I am glad that it's not herpes (or probably not since the medicine didn't help). I just hope that the dermatologist can figure it out so we can be done with this. I'll let you know once we go to the dermatologist what they think.
Glad it isn't the herpes. I know that would be disconcerting. I meant to ask last week (and got distracted, imagine that!) but where on her face is it and what does it look like?
I hope the dermetologist works out for you, it sucks that you've had to wait so long for a specialist. Look on the bright side though, there's a pretty good chance that the actual diagnosis will sound much better than herpes.

I think I missed your original vent, but this! The only form of herpes I know of would be cold sores.

It has been mostly around her mouth, sometimes her chin and a few times near her nose. It's little red bumps. The fungal infection medicine they gave us the first time will take it away, but then it comes back. Sometimes it's pretty bad - like now. Other times it's just a couple of bumps. They look a little like tiny zits.
The pictures I've found online with herpes are around the mouth. They are more blister like and they seem to form a cluster and not be so widespread which isn't the same as her.
Hoping to get into the dermatologist quickly and see what they think!
