What is the going rate for a doula in your area?

Around here, north GA, they seem to range from $350 - $450 for a typical birth package.

    I live in a HCOL area and we paid around $900. That included 2 or 3 pre-birth meetings, attending the birth, and 1 or 2 post partum meetings.  Worth.  Every. Penny.

    It's about $500 around here (Salt Lake City).  My husband isn't going for it, though.  He thinks he needs to be my doula.  lol
