I am really racking my brain on names, I would love to start calling baby GIRL by her name. I need suggestions, I swore I had decided on Raelynn for the girl name but have started to sway other ways.
Some names I have a my list are: Kennedy, Amberley, Kendal, Liliana, Cassidy, Lynley, Emily.
If you can't tell I have a liking for names with Y in them. I just don't want something too common but I won't turn down a name for being popular if that makes sense. If its something I love, popularity doesn't matter.
Last name is Bohannon.
Any suggestion will be taken to mind. TIA!!! ![]()

I really like Liliana and Emily.
Kennedy, Cassidy and Kendall are NMS. I think Amberley and Lynley are awful, sorry.
What about Linnea, Delaney, Ainsley, Chloe, Marley, Lorelei?
Love Chloe and Marley. I also like Ainsley but my SD's name is Paisley and that is VERY close. Thank you.
I like Molly but have a friend that has a daughter with this name. I don't want to seem like a copy cat.
I don't mean this in an offensive way, but my honest opinion is that most of the names on your list (Kennedy, Amberley, Kendal, Cassidy, Lynley) make me think of a teenage mother. I don't know why I have that association.
Emily and Liliana are nice. What about also:
Lucy, Felicity, Ivy, Juliet, Mila, Audrey, Natalie?
I love Liliana. The rest range from "meh" (Emily) to "terrible" (Lynley) in my mind.
Have you considered Ruby?
Liliana and Emily are ok.
No to Amberley. Sounds Made up. Not a fan of Kendal or Lynley at all either.
Congrats on your little girl! They are so sweet!
We have very different taste, so keep that in mind, BUT....
Emily and Liliana are probably the best from your list. Both are very nice names, but keep in mind that Emily has been THE most popular girls' name for the past 10 years, and only lost its place to Emma (very similar) in recent years. Liliana is nice, but Lily names are also getting pretty popular. Also, I think Liliana is a little verbose, and would prefer Lilian or just plain Lily.
Cassidy and Kendall are good. Honestly, the more I think on it, the more Kendall grows on me, and it might be my new favorite from your list. Cassidy is a perfectly fine name, just a little country/90's for me.
Kennedy is acceptable. It's spelled correctly and it's fairly common, I just don't like it. I think it's an odd choice unless it's a family name for you. The Kennedys are such a tragic bunch, and President Kennedy was a lech, so I've never understood naming a daughter after him.
Amberley, Raelynn and Lynley are awful. Please, just say no.
I like Emily and Liliana. Kendall is okay, but the others aren't that great. Do you still want to use Raelynn or Belle as a middle name?
Other suggestions:
Hadley, Brynna, Aubrey, Carly, Kaia/Kaya, Maia/Maya, Kyra
ETA: Ashlyn, Kellyn, Amaya
I am still wanting to use Lynn as a MN option. I love how Belle sounds with the right name and I would use just Rae but since everyone in my family has the middle name I am thinking it might be time to let it go. I really would love to honor my cousin/best friend which her middle name was Lynn but I am having a hard time finding names that go well that my SO likes as well. I am not fond of Lynn as a first name alone either.
Hi!
So after reading this whole thread I have two things to put my input on-
1) I LOVEEE the name Raelynn! I've never heard of it before, and when I immediately read it I added it to my list! I think it's wonderful.
2) About Kendall- I know a little girl named Kendall Ann... which when you say it, is just so nice and pretty, IMO. Depending on how the "a" in your LN is pronounced, it could be nice. (Even though if you are stuck on Lynn for a MN)
Best of luck!
Kennedy- REALLY dislike for a first name, let alone a girl
Amberley- sounds pretentious and made up at the same time
Kendal- okay, prefer two l's
Liliana- okay, prefer Lilian or Lily
Cassidy- eh
Lynley- hate
Emily- dislike
other ideas- Brenna, Caroline, Amelia, Madeline, Adele, Lauren, Moira, Violet, Brooke, Summer, Scarlett, Elise, Emma, Robin, Piper, Stella, Harlow, Brynn

Thank you. I think you are the only person on here that actually loves the name as much as I do. My middle name is Rae and my cousin/best friend (that passed away in September) her middle name was Lynn and I wanted to honor her if I was having a girl, now that I know I am I just can't seem to let go of the name.
