I'm at a complete loss as to what to get DS for his birthday. He'll be 3 in a couple weeks, and since Christmas was recent, he doesn't really need/want anything specific. I was thinking about getting him one of the PBK Anywhere Chairs, but wasn't sure if it's worth it. Thoughts?
Re: Talk to me about the PBK Anywhere Chairs
I've seen the chairs and they are adorable, but we don't have them. I have a little kids rocker that I refinished as well as a little kids craft table with chairs for her instead. She likes having "me" sized items but if you are worried about the expense, the $10 kid sized Ikea chair would be just as big a hit.
As to other ideas, DD turns 3 in a little over a month and I am going to buy her games for her birthday. Classics like Cooties, Don't Break the Ice, Hi Ho Cherrio, and Candy Land are the ones I am eying. I bought her a puzzle game for Christmas from Discovery Toys that she loves playing with us and I already bought her a Tea Party game from EEBoo as well.
Thanks Preissless! DS LOVES her, and she's warmed up to him over the years. Esp now that he's willing to share his snacks!
Good call on the games...I hadn't thought of those. My only concern is he got SO MANY TOYS for Christmas, I feel like any more are just going to get lost in the shuffle. Not a bad idea to have on hand for rainy days though....
We have an Anywhere Chair for H. I wouldn't have paid full price for it, and had actually considered just buying the slipcover through PBK and then buying knock off foam inserts from Ebay. But when I caught a good sale, buying it all through PBK wound up being cheaper so we jumped on it.
H loves hers, more for climbing than sitting right now but it's big enough that it will last her many years. We just got a regular size one -not the oversize-and I actually can sit in it myself without pushing the arms out (but I juuuuust barely fit.
)
You might want to do a search on slickdeals or something because I'm pretty sure they have a "secret" sale on various colors every now and then.
We have it and DD loves it. She drags it all over by the handle. Also, I like that I can throw the slipcover in the washing machine.
Also, we have the oversized bean bag from Land of Nod and she loves that too. It is huge.
Ditto all of this. I got one for DD back in the fall after coming across a good deal on one. Some sort of "secret" sale on a few of the colors. DD loves it, she loves to sit in it and read or play with a stuffed animal. She gets such a kick out of sitting in it.
The outlet in Leesburg closed last week, I am so sorry.
