Took a spill at work

Somebody left a box of things to be mailed in front of the mailroom. I was walking down the hall while carrying two metal coffee canisters (the guy from the bakery was here to pick them up). I tripped over said box and hit my chin on a metal canister.

My boss (who knows about me being pg) was really concerned with my fall and asked if I wanted to go home. I reassured him that I was fine and did not hit my stomach. I'm rockin' a pretty sweet bandaid on my chin now, though.

My husband is out of town until late tonight so I called to tell him why I'd have a bandaid on. He had a similar worried reaction. Men are funny. How do they think we've survived in these delicate situations for thousands of years?

  • Ouch.  Glad it wasn't too bad of a spill.  Hope you're doing okay!

And you are much nicer than me.  I would tear into the dumb@ss who left a box in the middle of the floor.

  • aww, you poor thing! I took a spill early on with my first and it FREAKED me out! I did some googling even though I knew better...turns out, for once, google helped! Your itty bitty babe is tucked back behind your pelvic bone and has tons of water to cushion him/her. All is well in baby land I'm sure! You can tell your DH not to worry although that is very sweet!
