HLG- Week 4 check in

It's Monday morning! 4 weeks officially done in January! How's it going?

ILs have a big superbowl party every year with every delicious fatty snack you could imagine. I'm on a mission to find some healthy snacks to bring- anyone have good recipes? I think I'm going to do a big batch of chicken lettuce wraps and maybe a veg tray so far.

  • Oh, yeah- my check in. I lost 3lbs this week. Yay! That makes 10.6lbs since New Years. Kept my 2 "resolutions" going (only 1 diet pepsi a day & workout 5 days). I got my "skinny jeans" on... they look like they cut off circulation to my entire lower body and I have a huge muffin top- but they were on and zipped, that counts for something right?

    My DVDs came from Amazon. Bob Harper's Body Rev Cardio Conditioning is THE hardest workout DVD I have ever done. It's an hour on non stop cardio and weights. I made it through 40 mins and I was panting for breath. Then Justin woke up to pee so I saw it as my sign from God to wrap it up for the night ;)

  • Yay, M! You're doing a great job!

    Yesterday was not a good day to weigh in. I was retaining water like crazy. Stupid AF. I even gained 0.5 between the time I first weighed myself yesterday morning and when I got home from my meeting. I weighed myself again this morning, and I had already lost 2 lbs. My hope is that things can only get better as the week goes on.

    I was very proud of myself this week re: exercising. I ran twice on my parents treadmill, did 30 Day Shred (which actually didn't kill me like it had in the past - yay!), and finally went out and ran 3 miles yesterday. They were slow, ugly miles, but I did them! Just trying to tell myself to get off the couch and do something at least 3 days a week.

  • Ugggggghhhhh....I have SOOOO been dragging my feet on this. I'm still down a few but I NEED TO START WORKING OUT TODAY. I bought some workout clothes - since I want to get back into running (barf) my baggy stuff was super annoying and I kept having to adjust it..my yoga pants would fall down, etc. So they are in the wash as I type. And I hope to fire up the good ole treadmill during nap and after they go to bed.

    I want to get a measuring tape and measure my hips/waist and use that as a marker on how I'm doing too. I seriously can't believe how big my stomach is. 

    All your juicer talk makes me want to get one of those too. I have major issues with not eating breakfast - so I think that would be an awesome substitute on days that I can't eat.

    I have ZERO energy so I really need to start MOVING more. I am drinking WAY too much coffee - like 5-6 cups a day. I have some tea that I want to start adding into my day instead.

    I feel terrible that I haven't been a source of motivation for myself or the HLG!! I hope to change this starting today..

    Don't sweat it (ha!)! I haven't been much better! I had been harping on everybody for the longest time about keeping HLG going, and now it seems everyone else is doing MUCH better at their weight loss than me. I feel like a total slug compared to everyone else!

    You'll get there. Just get on the dang treadmill. Every minute you spend on it will be one less than you spent on the couch!

  • I suck..I'm down .2 which is amazing considering the lack of water & amount of crap I ate last week.

    I've been battling the sleep thing with LO - going to sleep on her own, doing so without screaming, at an acceptable hour and staying alseep all night (she's been sleeping in with me lately) so I'm exhausted.  NOT an excuse, but I've been making it one.  I know I need to get my butt in gear.

    I NEED to start drinking more water.  I also need to start working out.  I know doing it will give me more energy...it's just so hard to find enough to actually start!

  • Down one more lb.  so about 8 total....yeah!!

    I am wearing jeans that I have not been able to get into since I got pregnant with Andrew.  

    I did Week 5 Day 3 of C25K...I had to walk 2 extra min of it, but am so excited that I have gotten this far!

    I was a little looser on the eating this week, so after our mini vacation tomorrow, I will buckle down again.

  • I am down 2.5lbs this week!

    My goal is 2lbs a week for 12 weeks, so I am glad I am ahead of the curve right now.

    I just started my Biggest Loser training program at a gym. Its the second time I did the program. The first time, I lost 12.5lbs in 12 weeks. Then gained two over the holidays. So I'm back to 12.5 lbs down since September.

    I worked out with my group at the gym 3 times last week. My goal is to work out 5 times/week - but 4 is more realistic.

    Food wise, I did pretty good, except for Thursday when I was travelling and in the car ALLLLL day, and so I ate a ton of crap. And then I also was bored and ate too many chips/dip on Saturday.

    This week, I need to stay diligent on food all week because DHs b-day is Friday and we are going out, and then Sunday we are having people over for the Super Bowl - delicious snacks.... and my weigh in is Monday, so I have to be aware how much sodium I am taking in on Sunday....
