target red card...so annoyed!

does anyone have one of those target credit cards? was it hard to get one?

i have a friggin awesome credit score, pay all my bills on time and in full and was denied a credit card from target!

guess i'm shocked that they are worried i wont be able to pay the bill.

the amount i have spend in the last 20 months at target on diapers alone and paid in full i am just shocked that i don't fit in their profile of a person who can pay.

    Weird. I would pull your credit report.  It shouldn't be any harder to get than a regular credit card or department store credit card.  I would be concerned something else is going on...  good luck!

    ETA - I had one once for the discount a few years back.  But then I closed it because I hardly shop there.

    I agree with running a credit report to make sure nothing fishy is on yours

    Don't they also offer a debit card option now that also offers a discount or reward program? Maybe look into that?

    i had a credit report done not that long ago and nothing was on it that didn't belong...everything is paid in full every month...never carry an outstanding balance on anything...and my credit score out of 950 was over 895....

    i'm just shocked since this is the first time in my life i have been denied a credit  card...

    Maybe the clerk typed in some info wrong?! Your SS# or license # or something. Check the receipt slip that said denied, see if all of your info is correct...

    i got a letter in the mail about being denied....might have to contact them...i want a good reason! :)
