You may remember that Maya and I have had a rough road BFing, and it has been really hard because of how important nursing was to me. Long story short, we have supplemented with formula since our 2nd day in PP (I had a panic attack and they had to knock me out), after about a week and a half I gave up on nursing (cracked, bloody nipples) and pumped. Then I couldn't take pumping anymore, so Maya was getting pumped BM along with about one, sometimes, two bottles of formula.About 2 1/2 weeks ago we started nursing again, continuing with the 1-2 bottles a day. My goal was to cut out formula all together (and be able to add the EBF badge to my siggy hehe)! My peanut and I are happy to announce that as today we are 1 week and 1 day formula free!
Just another reason that I am glad you ladies are here... because sharing this with my family is just a buzz kill. Half of them preach EFF (Apparently BFing makes baby too attached to mom??? Whatever) and half of them couldn't BF for one reason or another. So the past 2 months have been filled with "It's okay, I wasn't able to breastfeed because of x-y-z, so I knew you wouldn't be able to either"s and massive formula cheer leading, including 2 mysterious gift bags on my doorstep filled with... you guessed it! Can of formula! So no one IRL really understands or shares my joy at this milestone. I am extremely proud to be able to say that Maya and I are now EBFing and going strong!

Congratulations, what an amazing story! I am both incredibly impressed and so jealous!
I had one problem after another with BF, and started giving formula at 2 weeks, and only a week later breastfeeding was totally out the window. I had the same experience with family and friends telling me formula was the way to go, and I stupidly let them talk me into giving up which has been a real emotional struggle. Good for you for standing your ground and getting to EBF!
I'm sorry to hear that about your DS. Mine has a milk protein sensitivity which means he still has to avoid milk. I'm still BFing though just avoiding all milk products. GL, I hope your DS is one of the lucky ones that out grow it by the time he's 6 months old!
