BFing and Weight Watchers...Can you really lose weight with that many points?

I used to do WW before I got pg to maintain my weight.  Now, nearly a year later I've rejoined and the program is completely different.  They gave me 44 points and 49 flex points!  Can I really lose weight eating that many points?  Is anyone else losing?

  • Right?! I started with 47 points and dropped down to 46. I've lost 6lbs so far though. I can never eat 46 points but I try to get as close as I can.

  • Yes. I have lost 44 pounds this year.  I could have lost more, but I went off plan a lot because I got lazy about tracking.

  • Yep!  I lost ten pounds!  Then I sadly fell off the wagon...I need to start tracking again and going to meetings.  The stress of daily life really got to me for a month or so there.

    I also did WW previously (pre-pregnancy) and have considered starting up again.  After looking over the new program materials, it seems that everything has a higher point value, so even though you GET more points than long ago, you also USE more points for the exact same food/volume.  Not bashing the program at all, I'm sure its still works.

    This. They have increased point values in foods. Fruit is 0 points now though! :-)
