Anyone just starting out with IUI?

Good morning ladies,

This is my first post on this board. I sometimes post on the IF board but I thought I would try this one today. DH and I have been ttc for 2.5 years and we are unexplained. His SA was fine and all my tests were fine too. We took all of 2011 to continue trying on our own and hoping a miracle would happen. We agreed that come 2012, we would go back to the RE and get going with treatments.

We are embarking on our first IUI cycle today! We're doing injectables, Gonal-F. I had my baseline sono this morning and I'm scheduled to do 75 iu starting tonight through Friday. Then my next sono will be this Saturday.

I'm excited and trying to stay as postive as possible. I'm finding it difficult though-- I have a lot of doubts. But I know all we can do is just hope for the best.

Just wondering if anyone else is on the same timeline as me, or if you're somewhere "near" when I am :)

    I am in the 2ww also for my first medicated IUI with trigger. GL with your journey, I hope you get a fabulous result. The 2ww totally sucks but hopefully we'll all have some great news at the end.

    Thanks, you too! I would love to know what your timeline has been so far.. when did you end up doing the trigger shot? And how soon after that did you have the IUI? Did you trigger, try "naturally", then go the next day for IUI?

    And for anyone else who wants to share...
     
    Also, I know it's kind of cheesy but are you guys all trying to stay positive, visualize it "working", stuff like that? If so, any tips? I know it's stupid but I've been so down and negative during ttc for the past 2.5 years and now I'm trying so hard to keep a happy and relaxed state of mind about it all... any tips?

    I'm on CD9 on my Clomid+Menopur IUI cycle. I go in 2 days for a follie scan. Last cycle I was surging on CD11 so if it's the same this cycle, I will hopefully trigger on CD11 and have the IUI either CD12 or CD13.

    Me: 29, PCOS (anov), Hashimoto's Disease // DH: 30, normal SA
    3 Clomid, 1 Clomid/Menopur, 1 Menopur w/ TI (CX 4x's due to cysts) - All BFN
    1 Clomid/Menopur, 2 Menopur, 1 Follistim w/ IUI - All BFN
    RPL & Karyotype testing normal

    IUI #5 (12/1/12) --> Follistim + 1/3 hCG Trigger = BFP! EDD: 8/23/13
    Betas --> 61 (13dpo) // 156 (16 dpo) // 223 (18dpo) // 656 (21 dpo)
    U/S --> 5w0d - sac seen // 6w0d - hb detected // 7w0d - hb seen and heard, measuring 6w6d!
    8w6d - wiggly baby! // 9w3d - wiggly baby with fingers!

    That's pretty much our story too!  Though we've been trying just over 2 years.

    I am on CD 13 of my first IUI cycle and got the go-ahead this morning to do the trigger tonight and do 2 back to back IUIs tomorrow and the next day. I usually o around cd 17, so the timing seems about right, I guess...

    I had my first IUI Saturday and am in the 2ww now.  I wanted to chart one more month, cause I'm a control freak and wanted proof that I O'd when the trigger should have made me.  Looks good so far!  GL!
    Dx: LPD, late ovulation;
     July 2012:IUI #6 on 7/28, BFP on 8/9,beta 97, 8/11 189, 8/13 400!!   DS born 4/18!
    9/30/13 - Miracle BFP, released from RE 10/21, EDD 6/6/14, DD born 5/27!
    6/19/16 - Miracle BFP, EDD 2/25/17

    This is my second IUI cycle but my first medicated.

    I'm on cd 7 and have been on Follistim since cd 3. I had a monitoring appt today and another on Wednesday. I'll either trigger Thursday or Friday night for IUI on either Saturday or Sunday. :) GL to you! I try to stay positive and hopeful by reading inspiring quotes or bible verses. Sometimes it actually helps ;)

    I am doing my first medicated IUI right now. Last Monday was my cycle day 1 and began 75 ius of follistim beginning on cd3. I had an ultrasound today and will continue with 75ius and go back Thursday for another ultrasound. As you will see in my signature I have done things a bit backwards, I have already been through IVF's twice. But now with a new RE who is hopeful, and I'm trying to be too. This is a long and trying journey but the end result will all be worth it. Good luck to you.

    IVF#1 w ICSI- 4/20/11 ER, 6 Eggs, 4 Fertilized, 4/25/11 5 day ET, 2 blasts- 5/4- Beta= BFN- No Frosties 

    IVF #2 w ICSI-6/21/11 ER, 4 Eggs, 2 Fertilized, 6/24/11 3 day ET 2 embryos- Beta 7/5/11- BFN- No frosties.

    AMH .75 VERY POOR RESPONDER
    IUI #4 cancelled due to only one egg responding 
    IUI#5 cancelled on CD 10,  (3) follicules were still very small even on 300 IU's of Follistim. Also found fluid in my uterus from C-section scar
