I'm kinda freaking out. I had my Anatomy Scan today, and I was told my cervix was funneling. The doctor had me make an appointment to check on it four weeks from now and didn't seem overly concerned. I of course consulted Dr. Google and it's associated with Preterm labor, so I'm worried. It seems most of the time they put you on pelvic rest or bed rest, but he didn't say anything about it. And now I'm worried, especially with a history of miscarriages.
I have a regular OB appointment in 2 weeks and plan on bringing it up, but I don't know if I should call and ask about it before then? I go to a clinic with rotating doctors and they never really seem to care very much, so I'm thinking I've got to be my own advocate here. Has anyone dealt with this? Am I reading too much into it?
Re: Cervical funneling?
Call your doctor and explain your concerns. Ask him your questions and stay away from Dr. Google if it's going to stress you out.
Good luck!
This!
and...cervical funneling is correlated with PTL not associated with..basically I am saying that a lot of women have funneling and it never progresses and doesn't result in a preemie..
