Progestrone question

For anyone who's done an IUI and used progestrone suppositories... I am 14dpiui and even though I've POAS and gotten a negative, I have a beta tomorrow. I've never gotten a positive on a OPK, which is why we're still doing the beta.

Does the progestrone hold off AF? I've gotten small twinges of cramps, but no AF which is unusual on CD29 (for me).

Honestly, it really depends. Sometimes, it holds off AF sometime it doesn't, it really depends. I have had cycles where despite the suppositories I got my period at only 9dpo and cycles where the suppositories held it off until 15dpo. I would take your last suppository and do the beta, just in case since its only one more day. Good luck with your beta, I hope you get a more desirable result than your HPT.

The progesterone has held off my AF for every cycle except this one but that's because I was on injects. Otherwise I stop taking then progesterone the night of 13dpiui, test 14dpiui, and get af like 2 days later. So about 16dpiui.

I'm sorry about your BFN. This isu first cycle on injects and progesterone supps; so are you saying that on injects, the progesterone didn't hold off AF? Why was it different? Thanks!

The progesterone always has held off my period as well. I wait until my RE calls back with my beta results and then I stop taking it usually at 15dpiui. At that point I get my period 1 or 2 days later.

Injects are different in how they take over your hormones/body. My RE told me not to be surprised if I started AF by 11dpo. A lot of girls find injects dramatically shorten their LPs. I don't know the true science behind- maybe someone else does? LOL The progesterone held off real AF but I did start spotting at 13dpiui with this inject cycle.
