So I ran out of meds insurance coverage today--still in my first cycle of IVF. DH is looking around online, and he's finding drugs MUCH cheaper than where my RE sourced my drugs from.
So I'm wondering, do you ladies buy your own meds, or tell your clinic where they should buy them, or what? (And if you've found good prices, where?) There's obviously a lot of benefit to be had from shopping around, and I'm pretty upset that it looks like we got the expensive stuff.

Re: Do you buy your own meds?
Knowing that we were mostly OOP, my RE's office gave me the phone numbers for 3-4 pharmacies and we chose from there. I didn't choose the cheapest one (actually the 2nd most expensive!) but they had free next day delivery and same day delivery can be done with relative ease. And if I need them same day but order late in the day, they have a pharmacy about 45 minutes away and great hours (open until 6 or 7ish).
ETA I use Walgreens Speciality.

My RE uses Metro Drug Pharmacy and I was freaking out because I had used Freedom and Walgreen's Specialty in the past and loved them. I got an estimate for my IVF meds from Freedom and it was several hundred more than Metro so I'm sold. Metro Drug Pharmacy seems like the way to go.
Also, I told them I had no coverage but they still insisted on running it just in case. I thought that was really nice and was shocked to find out my insurance covers Crinone. They saved me $500!
Good luck!
