Hello Ladies! Intro..

I was ecstatic to find out that I was pregnant. I told my colleagues at school, my 1st graders and had just told my family on Christmas. Two days later I had my first appointment at 10 weeks. We were busy joking about how many babies I would have and then we were able to see the picture of our LO. The doctor was saying how it looked perfectly developed with arms and legs and the sac was a good size. He was not able to find a heartbeat though and called in another doctor to double-check for our peace of mind.

Two days passed where I sat curled up in a ball crying and ignoring the world. I got a call from the hospital telling me I have O- blood and that I needed to come in for a Rhogam shot. If I did not get the shot it would be difficult for me to get pregnant again. With this news, I began to panic and set up a D&C for the following morning. The D&C was successful and 3 days later (less than a week after my initial MC news) I was back at work. We had just returned from winter break and everyone was talking about how great their time off was. I sat in my classroom wiping back tears and broke down when I had to tell people. It's been a month since my D&C and now I'm just anxiously waiting for AF.
