I was registered for one and got it at my shower and we decided to bring it back. We didn't think it was necessary and it was extra credit towards our last furniture piece that we needed. We brought back the bottle warmer too.
I can run a top rack only sterilize cycle on my dishwasher, so I passed on the bottle sterilizer. A friend did recommend that I pick up a few of those baskets for the small bottle parts so they don't get knocked around too much in the DW though. She said it saves a lot of time since she doesn't have to dig around for them if they fall to the bottom.
I got one for a gift so I plan on using it. We love gadgets. It is kind of like the wipes warmer. Not really a necessity but I registered for it anyway because I wanted it.
Re: Bottle Sterilizer--- Yay or Nay?
I have one and used it all the time for bottles and pump parts.
that being said, a pot of boiling water works just as well. I have the sterilizer so I use it, but totally could have gotten by without it.
