wool shorties help

ok...what do I do with brand new shorties? they are pretty stiff and don't stretch much.

 

I can't even get them past DD butt Crying I don't get it... I went of the size guide and she is smaller then what they say (apparently it stretches to 22)

 

I can't believe I may have to sell them if I can't get them to work Crying

    did you wash and lanolize them? That will definitely soften them up. Are they handknit or recycled-wool-fabric? Handknits will usually have more give in the beginning...
