Just looking for some advice on how to stop LO from biting while eating. She is starting to do it more often now (I think because shes cutting a tooth) and likes to bite down and then pull. NOT FUN! Every time I take my breast out and tell her no stearnly but not yelling. It doesn't seem to be helping, any other suggestions??

When baby is teething: Biting can also be brought on by teething. If baby seems to be teething rather than wanting to nurse, offer her a teething toy or something cold to bite (instead of you). Offer baby a teething toy after a bite or "near miss." When you do this, tell her, "This is for biting. Be gentle when you nurse."

I'll admit that when I told Buffy no, I also didn't let her nurse again directly afterwards.
I set her down and fussed w/ something else, as she fussed at me to nurse for a few minutes.
(I 'explained' it as 'you can nurse nice, but babies who bite don't get nuks')
Putting her down and walking away made all the difference
