  Can't say enough good things about Naturepedics mattresses.
  
  They are a little pricier up front, but the piece of mind and quality is well worth it. We're using it from two children and have a 4-in-1 convertible crib/toddler bed, so we are getting about 5 years of use out of it!

  I purchased mine with our crib from Pottery Barn Kids.  It's super plush and comfortable, plus it has a waterproof cover so that the mattress isnt ruined if anything goes through the sheets!

  My cousin has had hers for 3 years now, just starting to use it on baby #2, and it still looks and feels brand new.  Gotta love PBK quality!

  I bought a standard Sealy crib mattress off the JC Penney website... Its only $70 and as simple and basic as needed... and honestly, the baby needs no frills! It has awesome reviews and shipped so quickly!  Oh yeah, and it comes with a 10 year warranty... although I doubt I'd ever need this for 10 years!

  we put one from buy buy baby on it.. and i used the baby bargains book to make the decision..
