Kinda nervous.. mass?

So I took a shower last night and I noticed that on my bikini line on the right side there's like this mass there. It's not visible outside but I can feel it with my fingers.. it feels like a swollen tendon or something. It's weird! It doesn't hurt to touch it but it hurts to press on it.  I'm nervous. I'm not sure if I should be calling my PCP or my GYN? 

And I'm supposed to start AF next week.. first month of TTC (officially) since my loss in September. I'm SO excited to start trying and I'm nervous what this thing is. I'm a worrier so I'm sitting here thinking omg I have some kind of cancer!

    For your peace of mind, call your PCP.  It could be just a swollen lymph node or a strain.  It could also be an ingrown hair or cyst of some sort.  Just call and have it checked out.  IF is stressful enough without random unknowns.  :)

    I just called my PCP and have an appt. at 11:40. I'm just nervous. I don't want any hiccups. And I am a major worrier. Especially since losing our baby girl at 19 weeks..I just get nervous about everything because that was something I never thought would have happened and now I'm on like high alert about everything.  Crossing my fingers that it's just a strain or something.  Glad I could get an appt. today.

    Went to my PCP.. turned out to be nothing. She thinks it's definitely a swollen lymph node and she thinks it's from razor burn! She said it happens a lot and to not shave for a week and gave me some cream to put on it. She said if I have anxiety about it and if it's not gone in a week to let her know and she'll do an ultrasound just for peace of mind but she said cancer is hard and fixed in one spot and doesn't hurt. My knot moves all around, is soft, and is really really sore if you touch it. 

    Whew! Thank goodness. By the time I got there, I convinced myself I had stage III lymphoma of some kind.  I work in disability management and I see this stuff happen all the time.. someone go in for a back ache and get diagnosed with stage something carcinoma in their spine or I had one last week who went in because she was really itchy and turns out it's stage III liver cancer.. not treatable. You just never know!! Better safe than sorry!
