After this LO is done with it, I would garage sell it or just donate it. It's in pretty good shape but wasn't a super expensive crib so I don't care if I get $ out of it..,
Regardless, I'm wondering who would buy it or would a church or someone even take it with teeth marks??
Does anyone's crib NOT have bite marks??!! (if you didn't use those plastic bite guard things)
Re: S/O wwyd with crib??? Will they take it
I'm sure someone would take it. The womens shelter here is always looking for donations. Aslong as it hasnt been recalled there is no harm in donating, or reselling. There are plenty of needy parents who aren't concerned with teeth marks.
I had a garage sale 5 years ago when my grandparents passed and I put this really ugly green flower lamp in it thinking no one would buy it. This lady came up and asked me if it worked, and then says " I really need to know it works, I don't have any lights in my home." It was kind of humbling...
Thats sorta what I figured. And will probably just donate it. Just wanted to hear that it's not gross to donate a bitten up crib...
I bought a crib off moms friends with only a few teeth marks, for 25 dollars. It was brand new when she bought it three years ago, and will go into a toddler bed. In the past week or so, Whitney has put tons more teeth marks in it. lol.
Honestly, there are people like me who weren't concerned about buying brand new if it was safe. I was also on a budget after being put on bedrest.
I thnk that If you sell it for cheap, or donate it, its a win win.
Ours doesn't have bite marks--which is kinda a miracle--but it has a million other marks. It's dark brown and every single bump causes a mark in it. If I'm wearing a zip up sweatshirt and I bed over into the crib, it leaves a mark. Reaaaaalllly annoying.
I think donating it is great. You could put it on CraigsList in the free section

I would suggest calling your local women's shelters and asking if they have any need for it. I know the ones around here are always in need.
As for the teeth marks, no, ours does not have any. Our daughter was pretty much out of the biting stage of teething by the time she could stand up on the side of the crib, so we never had to deal with that.
This exactly! My golden retrievers have also done a number on mine by jumping on it and putting their paws on the rail!

June, 2011? As in, 7 months ago? Why is that?
I feel so out of the loop!
Strict new crib regulations went into effect in June.
Churches, child care programs, and residential facilities are prohibited from taking cribs manufactured prior to June 2011.
