I realize that most people either really like alliteration with names or they really hate it. I respect both opinions, but I am one who likes the alliteration.
Hypothetical baby girl will have the middle name Grace after my grandmother. I used to call my grandmother Gigi because as a child, I couldn't say Granny. For some reason, it came out Gigi and that's what stuck.
If you wanted baby girl's initials to be GG and the middle name was Grace, what first name would you use? The only name I like right now is Gillian.
Thanks for your suggestions!
Re: Girls names that begin with "G", middle name Grace
I've always liked Gillian spelled that way, probably because I was equally terrified by/obsessed with The X-Files as a child.
I like Gwendolyn, Gretchen and Giada as other "G" names...but other than that nothing really comes to mind. I also think Gretchen and Giada kind of have to go with a certain kind of last name.
Georgia/Georgiana/Georgina/Georgette
Giana
Guinevere
Genevieve
Gennifer
Giuletta
Giselle/Gisele
Guiliana, Glenna, Gina, Gemma
I like Giada or Gabriella for G names, but they were already mentioned.
I love Guinevere, although it's kind of a guilty pleasure name.
My more mainstream choice is Genevieve.
that's what I was going to suggest
This!
I've always like Greta/Gretta.
ETA - Love the GG because you called Gma Gigi, as my grandma was also gigi when I was a kid (actually because my cousin couldn't say granny LOL)
I like...
And I think the nickname GiGi is adorable!

This (it was one of our top name combos). Also my niece's name is Ginger if you are looking for something different

Gillian is a legitimate spelling variation of Jillian. I prefer the G spelling. Gennifer is NOT a legitimate alternate spelling of Jennifer and would seem weird and forced.
And alliteration, while traditionally defined as the repetition of sounds, also refers to the repetition of a single consonant in any syllable that is pronounced (as in poetry).
That said... thanks everyone for your feedback. I can now add Georgia and Genevieve to the list.
Gabriel
Ginny
Gigi
Ginette
Genelle
Gert (but I don't like it)
