Hello Ladies! I have been a lurker for close to 6 months now and after having so many questions every month I?ve finally decided I just need to suck it up and join
. You are such a strong group of wonderful women and I just felt so intimidated to join.
A little back story on us. We have been trying for two years and started my first clomid cycle in May 2011. After 3 failed clomid cycles (no response with 150 mg) we transferred to an RE (November 2011). DH and I have went through all of the testing and it has been determined that the only thing they can see that is actually wrong is that I do not ovulate with possible PCOS. My blood work was perfect, but I do have cysts, and varied cycle lengths. Because of the cysts my RE requested I go on BC to try and reduce the cysts and remove all of the clomid from my body.
That?s where the question comes in. I finished my last BC pill (28 days) on Thursday and still have no signs of AF. I am supposed to call my RE on CD 1 to schedule monitoring for CD 3, and to start Femara 5MG. Those of you who have had to take BC to reduce cysts during cycle breaks how long did it take to start AF or did your RE allow you to start medicated cycle without AF? I know I should probably just call RE?s office, but I hate being that whiney patient that calls every day ha. The past 6 months I have had to take Provera to have AF.
Thanks for any advice and I look forward to joining this wonderful and supportive group of ladies (and gentlemen)!
Sarah

The first time I had to take bcps for a cyst (single large 55mm cyst), I got my period 6 days after stopping the last one, but I did still have the cyst (shrunk to 35mm) so that might be the reason for the delay.
This last cycle I was on bcps for cysts again (a few smaller E-2 producing cysts), got AF 2 days after the last pill. CD2 u/s showed one tiny cyst still lingering, but it was small enough that I as able to cycle this month.
Like PP said, I'd give it a week before calling. Some people just take a little longer.
ETA: Welcome to the board!! I hope your stay here is nice and short.

Thank you for the reply and welcome. The cysts sticking around may be the problem - I hadnt thought about that. I have been having cramping this whole month so that may explain that also... This stuff is getting old ha.
