This morning it started off beautifully. I went in for my 90 minute massage and it was AMAZING. I was so relaxed when I walked out. I walked over to my car, grabbed the handle to get in and a gust of wind blew through taking the car door. BAM hits me square in the eye. I couldn't believe I had just been hit in the face by my car door. I grabbed my eye and sat inside of my car for a minute in shock, when I pulled my hand away I was bleeding from my eyebrow and my eyelid was cut. I immediately started crying, not because of the pain but because we are leaving Sunday to go to to meetings out of town and I might have a black eye. Don't you know I didn't have 1 napkin in my car to clean the blood. I had to drive 30 minutes home with a bloody and swollen eye. I skipped my manicure and pedicure and now I have to go to my hair appointment with one eye swollen shut. Birthday FAIL. If you have any embarrassing stories to share or some non-bruising vibes to send me, I'd gladly accept both.

I don't really have any similar stories but I have one from last week that might make you smile... I was going to an apt at the RE and was by myself. After I started walking away from my car I realized I forgot my phone. Walked back to the car, clicked unlock, HEARD IT CLICK, pulled handle.. nothing. Unlocked, clicked, nothing.. Unlocked, clicked, nothing.. unlocked, clicked, pulled HARDER, nothing... That's about the time I realized I was pulling on the red SUV directly beside me on the passenger side- not my red SUV. I'm so incredibly happy no one was there to see me walk around my car to get to my drivers door.. ::hangshead:: LOL

Oh hon I'm so sorry! My story might make you feel better... I once opened a car door into my forehead. Like, no excuse -- no wind -- nothing. I just flung open a car door into my head. I had a nice egg for a week from that one.
Clearly I have no spatial sense whatsoever...
Hope you heal up quickly!
Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.
IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

I'm sorry your car beat you up! Sending non-bruising vibes your way. Definitely get some ice on that eye which may help with how bad the brusie might get. In the event that you do bruise, some full coverage foundation will cover the discoloration. Hope your day gets better! And get some napkins, paper towels, or a box of tissue in your car.
ETA: When my 6 1/2 month old nephew kicked me and gave me a fat lip, then cracked me with his rattle and caused my fat lip to split open and bleed, I felt very embarrased. What I felt more embarrased about was the fact that it got infected and I had to go to the doctors for it. When the doctor asked what happened, he started laughing when I told him my nephew beat me up.
Dx PCOS (June 2006, re-confirmed March 2012), Anemia (May 2010-Still fighting to correct it), Fibromyalgia (May 2011)
Initial b/w - normal
HSG (March 2012) revealed right tube open and looking great. Left tube deformed with hydrosalpinx.
Lap (April 2012) Removal of left fallopian tube. Right tube open and viable, but "rather enlarged." NO evidence of endometriosis...Uterus looks beautiful and "very capable" of carrying a pregnancy!
October 2012 - Clomid 50mg + trigger + IUI = BFN
With all factors taken into account, RE is recommending IVF. Planning on moving forward with treatment as a single woman using DS by Summer 2013.
