Issues at 5.5 months old!

I had trouble getting DS latched right after he was born so the LC at the hospital had us use a nipple shield.  I tried to get DS away from the shield many times, but it never worked.  We were both happy so I finally stopped trying.  In the past few weeks, he would take the shield off in the middle of a feeding, and for a week now, he won't use it at all.  I thought that was great, but then, all of the sudden, he started getting very frustrated and won't even attempt to eat from me now.  I'm guessing through all of this my supply has dropped so now he's frustrated with not getting much milk and won't even try.  I am so stressed out and don't know what to do.  I have been drinking Mother's Milk Tea and pumping every two hours.  I am going to see a LC this morning.  I am so upset about all of this.  I want to bf for over a year, but I'm wondering it that is still a possibility. I am so overwhelmed with all of this!  Any advice?

    My advice would be to go see an LC. Seeing as you are already going to do this, GL with your LC.
