I don't know from personal experience (yet), but this has come up at LLL meetings and I just finished reading Adventures in Tandem Nursing (a great, helpful book). BM caters itself to the youngest baby , so it will increasingly turn to colostrum. As the PG progresses, baby 1 may self-wean because of the taste/composition change. The milk also may dry up before coming in again when baby 2 is born.
