  I just take whats in my prenatal.. My OB never told me to take more.

  My OB has me on 1600 mcg.

  My OB had me add extra folic acid on top of what was in my prenatal vitamins. It has been quite awhile so I don't remember the amounts, but I do remember that it was only one more tiny pill.

  After 20 months TTC with PCOS, we were blessed with twins!
  They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks.

  Mine said 1400mcg at least. My prenatal has 800mcg, so I take an additional 1mg/daily.

  I take a 5 mg pill daily, which is what I also took during my IVFs. My understanding is that with folic acid there is really no such thing as too much - you will just pee out the excess.
  

  IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
  

  IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
  IVF #1 = BFN
  FET #1 = BFN
  FET #2 = BFN
  IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
  IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
  Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!

  TTC again March 2014
  FET #3 - May/June 2014 - all embryos arrested before xfer - back to the drawing board...
  IVF #4 - July/August 2014

  My prenatal are prescription and I've never looked to see how much is in them (prenate essentials brand) but she also prescribed me 4mg of folic acid to take once a day also.

  3 abnormal PAPs and 2 colpo/biopsy since 09/2009
  LEEP 05/2011
  ASCUS PAP 08/2011 which means no PAP for 6 months!! YAY!!
  BFP 11/6/11!! EDD: 7/15/12
  1st u/s 11/21/11: TWINS!
  16 wks 1/30/12: BOY and GIRL!
  Schedualed c-section for 7/2/12 38wks 1day
  Went into labor 6/25/12 37wks 1day. Delivered two healthy babies

  When we found out I was having twins, my doctor right away prescribed me to take four 1mg tablets a day.

  I took whatever was in my PNV and then an extra 1 mg prescribed by my OB.

  TTC since 8/08 with MFI IVF #1 Nov 2010 BFP! Twins!!

  I'm taking my prenatals plus another pill of folic acid, not sure how many mg though

  I take a regular prenatal, and my OB also prescribed Folgard, which I believe has 2.2 mg of extra folic acid.
