Newborn photography

How many of you got (or wished that you had gotten) newborn professional photos done of your twins? Was it worth it?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to start contacting nearby photographers..

    I had them done, and they were worth every.single.penny. I adore my pictures, and it reminds me of when they were itty bitty. If you can afford to have a photographer come to you, I would absolutely do it. I have 4 big canvases of their newborn pics in my house.

    i am just pregnant now, but i am planning on it.  i found someone that is going to do a maternity and newborn package for me.  me and hubbie aren't that great at taking GOOD pics, and some of them are so beautiful!  also, when does a new mom with 2 or more babies have time????

    Absolutely worth it.

    Of course, my sister is a photographer, so it made that decision easy.  But it's worth every penny.  I suggest doing it a newborn stage, around 7 months when they're good at sitting up, and at a year old.

    We got them done and I love them. I found a photographer to do them much cheaper than the going rate around here... we wouldn't have been able to do it for the normal price.

    Transferred a 6BB hatched blastocyst- genetically normal female embryo
    BFP! 5/28- 5dp6dt      
    6/1 Beta #1- 223! 6/3 Beta #2- 567!

    We are planning on doing it after they are out of the NICU which could be a while with Ellie since we are at a set back at the moment.

    I'm definitely planning to have the friend (she's a pro photog) who did my maternity pics do some newborn shots, particularly so we can get a good one for the birth announcements.

    We had newborn photos done...it was expensive, but completely worth it!

    We liked the Bella baby pics they took at the hospital (see siggie) so we bought the CD and rights to them, which we have had made into canvases, etc.

    5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
    IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
    FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
    twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
    Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first

    We took them and it was well worth the money. I second the poster that said to see if they can come to your home because you won't have to expose your babies to the studio when they're little.

    Get them!  We got them at the local quickie photo place and I regret not having invested more in them.  In fact, I regretted it so much that I bought my sister newborn pics for her shower gift.  Get someone to come into your home to take them and do your research, make sure you go with someone who matches your style (although newborn photos are almost always very similar).  Invest the money - in a matter of weeks the moments will be gone and if you don't document it you will struggle to remember those precious moments (even if at the time you don't think you will ever forget).  Sleep deprivation will set in and forgetting just happens... pictures can help you remember how tiny and perfect your new additions really were.
