advice needed moving from one crib to two

This past weekend I moved my twins from one crib to two due to safety issues (kept finding one baby with her feet almost on top of other baby's face). The problem is, since I've moved them to separate cribs, one baby doesn't want to nap at all (cries most of the nap) and the other baby is sleeping wonderfully.  Before I moved them to separate cribs they were sleeping great. Any suggestions on how to make the transition easier for my unhappy baby?

  • What you need is the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Soothe & Glow Seahorse. It costs $14.00 at Target/Walmart/BRU, etc.

In the early months in our house, we just called it "baby crack". Works wonders.

I totally agree on separating them. That's right when I separated mine.

I'm wondering why one of them is having a hard time.... you could try a sleep positioner - might help them feel more secure if they are snuggled on either side of them - do you know the kind I mean?  Like 2 foam bumpers that lay against either side of their body?  They are vented a little, so I wasn't worried about smothering.  Do you use white noise in the room?  Wondering if they miss the sound of the other one breathing near them and maybe some white noise will provide something.....

I also love the FP Magic Seahorse, but I personally wasn't comfortable using them at the 13 week stage.  My girls had just started rolling over front to back and back to front.  I didn't want them rolling and getting their mouth on the seahorse when they were sleeping.  We started using them around 6 months.  I probably would have been ok using them at 5 months, but it's up to you and also how you're baby(s) develops.
