Poll!

I'm trying my best to keep up.  Sigh. Let's do a poll.

1) How are you?

2) At what GA and how big were your LOs at birth?

3) How is your LO(s) doing?

4) Tell us something your LO has done lately you're proud of.

5) Post a recent pic to share!

Re: Poll!

  • 1) How are you?

I'm doing well.  Keeping up with life, but overall things are good.

    2) At what GA and how big were your LOs at birth?

    Andrew - 26w2d, 2 lb 3 oz, now 3 years old

    Elliott - 35w4d, 7 lb 1 oz (hoss!), now 8 months

    3) How is your LO(s) doing?

Andrew - He has his ups & downs but overall he is doing quite well.  He loves LOVES his new school.  He loves riding the bus and he is so brave.  His reflux and delayed gastric emptying are raring their ugly heads.  I never thought in 1,000 years we would be still facing these issues at 3 years old.  At least we have a great team and his overall weight gain and eating habits are quite amazing despite what he has been through.  We moved him to a big boy bed and he's just a perfect little boy.  He's always so good.

Elliott - Doing well!  So much easier this one.  No meds, no specialists, no therapy, always happy it seems.  He can sit up and let go and not fall as of today.  He is rolling all over and babbling a lot, which makes me happy to hear 3 sounds already...and just loves eating baby food...getting so big (19 lb!) ...so so so different than what I'm used to.

    4) Tell us something your LO has done lately you're proud of.

Andrew - Being so brave on the bus.  Interacting more with Elliott and making him laugh.  Cutest thing ever.

Elliott - He ate a Puff this week with no trouble!

    5) Post a recent pic to share!

    Andrew: LOVES to paint.

    Elliott:  Is quite silly/social

  • 1) How are you?  A hot mess!  Better now that I'm on a double dose of my Zoloft :)2) At what GA and how big were your LOs at birth?   29 weeks, 4 days.  He weighed 2lbs 3 oz.
    3) How is your LO(s) doing?  He's doing well.  Tolerating his feeds and breathing pretty well with just the nasal canula.4) Tell us something your LO has done lately you're proud of.  Today, he was too hot for the lowest setting on the isolette, so he graduated to wearing a onesie and being swaddled!5) Post a recent pic to share!Let's see if this works! image

  • 1) How are you?-- Overwhelmed and full of so many different emotions as we approach the 1 year markers... 2) At what GA and how big were your LOs at birth? Tyler was born at 28w,4d and was 2lbs, 2oz.
    3) How is your LO(s) doing? He is slightly (and very slightly) delayed... but he moving right along on his own path. He likes to do things at his own pace and that's what he is doing. He meets all of his milestones within weeks of full-termies. 4) Tell us something your LO has done lately you're proud of. LO has recently really "got" crawling. Before it was just pulling himself around and he cried the whole time. Now he is really moving and loving every second of being able to do things that he wants... and he is already starting to pull to stand! 5) Post a recent pic to share!image
  • 1. We've been all right - thanks for asking, Lemen! There are some difficult anniversaries about to hit me over the head so been dealing with PTSD/A. The fire/cats dying comes up on Feb 17 and then we're closing in on our one year. Otherwise I've been learning to sew and life is good :)

    2. He was born at 30.6 and was 3 lbs 11 oz and 17.5 in.

    3. He's great! Jumping through too many milestones at a time, though. He is standing (assisted) and said his first word - "poop."

    4. He's been self-engaging in play lately. I'm proud of him for being able to entertain himself and find joy in doing things like 'cooking' or 'laundry.' We've been BLW and he's gotten very good at spoon control! Here he is eating apple sauce for the first time last week (I totally spaced on that food - I know, usually a first!).

  • First...legalpawn: I had the name choice Madeleine Marie if we had a girl...madeleine was my grandmother's name and my middle name is Marie...1. How am I?: Great! Working and loving on my little guy. I am looking forward to some fun stuff planned this year and I am SO over the winter! 2. GA age and stats: Declan was born at 34w4d and was 3lbs 5oz and 15 in. 3. How is DS doing?: Declan is well. Doing great on his meds and formula when it comes to his reflux. He has started solids and is loving them so far. He's still a little fella at only 13 lbs right now, but the docs don't seem concerned and I think developmentally he is behind but I am not worried about that right now... 4. Something new DS does?: He has found his feet! He will put his legs straight up and grab his feet! He will also give a good belly laugh, too, at funny things! I can't post a pic from my iPad...hence the format...but you can try looking at this pic from today: https://www.facebook.com/jenna.jonesrussell?ref=tn_tnmn

  • I don't post a lot, but I'd love to add to the poll! 1) How are you? I started back to work last week, so I'm a little overwhelmed and exhausted. I teach kindergarten and it's exhausting without having a baby at home to worry about.2) At what GA and how big were your LOs at birth?  Bowen was born at 32 weeks 4 days. He weighed 4 pounds 6 ounces.
     3) How is your LO(s) doing? Bowen's doing great! He weighed in at 11 pounds last night. He's exclusively breastfed so he had a tough time this past week with the bottle while I was back to work. He hadn't had many since we left the NICU. Otherwise, he's as happy as can be!4) Tell us something your LO has done lately you're proud of. His weight gain has been incredible and his smiles are definitely something to be proud of.5) Post a recent pic to share! image

  • 1) How are you? So good but so tired. DH took a new job- YAY! But has been traveling non-stop. He's been home exactly four and a half weeks total between September and now. This was the last week so I am so happy!

    2) At what GA and how big were your LOs at birth? 25 weeks, 1lb 8.6oz

    3) How is your LO(s) doing? So great except her digestive issues. She is 14 months now but only 15.5lbs. She is still on pureed food and Elecare. If she doesn't have Miralax EVERY day she will NOT go to the bathroom for days and then she screams and cries in pain when we try to wean her. I am hoping we'll be able to move off the Elecare soon.

    4) Tell us something your LO has done lately you're proud of. Um, there are SO MANY. She says "mama" and signs "milk, eat, and doggie." She can do the motions to the Baby Bumblebee song and just learned to give high-fives. And she is standing on her own and cruising furniture. I'm such a proud mommy.

  • 1) How are you? Tired but totally in LOVE. I've been having lots of random emotional moments lately like today when my gas light went off for the first time in a month I cried. Not cause of the gas light but because it meant my DD has been home for a month now and I haven't been driving hundreds of miles a week anymore. Who knew a gas light could trigger such emotion :)

    2) At what GA and how big were your LOs at birth? 27 weeks. 1lb 2 oz.

    3) How is your LO(s) doing? She's doing great overall. We've been having so new feeding issues so we're going to have a speech therapist come and do an assessment to see if she can determine anything.

    4) Tell us something your LO has done lately you're proud of. The past 2 nights she has had a more 'regular' sleep schedule at night which means my DH and I have also had a chance to catch up on some sleep too! Up until then she definitely had her days and nights backwards. Fingers crossed she keeps it up.
