I love to read (was an English teacher before I had DD) and I'm looking for some book recs. I'll read pretty much anything.
Right now I'm reading Child 44 (PSA--99 cent download for Kindle and Nook). It's a thriller set in Stalin's Russia. Totally not my usual reading material, but I can't put it down.
Recs anyone?
Re: looking for book recs
Did you read The Help? It was such a great book!
I have read many of the Jodi Picoult books. My favorites were Nineteen Minutes which is about a school shooting and The Pact which I don't what to describe because I don't want to give it away! House Rules was also really good, it is about a person who has autism. Honestly, all of her books were great reads but those are the ones that got me hooked on her!
On the kindle they had for free Three Girls and a Baby so I read it since I figured why not. Such an easy read but it was good. I actuallly wound up buying the other two of the series because they were only 2.99 each so I figured why not. Definitely not a deep read or anythign but in between running around after kids it was some nice mindless time for me.
I also don't know if you ever read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series but she released a book recently called Sisterhood Everlasting about the same girls but 10 years later. I loved it! Even if you just saw the movies you can easily read this book.
