Trouble TTC

Estradiol Levels- Stims Day 4

I had my estradiol levels checked this morning, on Stims Day #4. They came at 118 and the nurse advised that they like to see them around 100-300, with 100 on the very low side and 300 being on the high side. So, it sounds like 118 is okay? Well, they have increased my Follitism from 175 to 250 now and I will go on Wednesday for another estrogen check and U/S. This will be the 7th say of stims and I am wondering how long I will need to be on the Follitism and when retrieval will be. I am praying, praying, praying that everything will be okay and we will proceed as we should.

I am also starting to have body aches/back aches, not sure from which meds but I am getting a little uncomfortable but not unbearable, will definitely be worth it. Waiting and hoping for my BFP! And of course for you all to.

Thanks for listening. Scared!

Re: Estradiol Levels- Stims Day 4

  • 118 is on the lower end of OK; what type of cycle are you doing? Some protocols take longer to get started than others. I was on Long Lupron (agonist) and my e2 was only in the 100's after three days of stims, and my dose was much higher than yours.

The more important part is that it at least doubles at your next check. This next draw will be more telling, along with your first follie check.

You will hopefully stim for around ten days. I stimmed for ten days, triggered on the eleventh day and then retrieval 36 hours after that.

Sorry about the delay in response, I totally get where you're coming from. GL!

  • 118 is definitely on the low end of OK, but I don't think you should get yourself worked up over it yet.  Your next check will tell them SO much more than the one you just had -- my first check there's never been much to see, either.  Also, as PP said, it depends on the protocol you're on.  For example, Lupron protocols tend to take a bit longer than antagonist protocols.

Again, try not to over think things at this point.  Good luck!

  • I'm on Long Lupron Protocol and technically, I guess it was Day 3 of stims since I take my injections in the evening. I go back on Wednesday for my e2 test and also an ultrasound. Hopefully it will show some beautiful follies! Man, I sure hope so!

I would consider 118 absolutely fine for three days of stims on long lupron. Gl at your monitoring appt!
