    I've contemplated doing this so many times... but we live away from all our family so it's an easy way to stay in touch with them and with colleagues who are posted all over the world.

    I would have soooo much time on my hands if I deleted it though.   So tempting!

    I have done it twice for months at a time. As pp said, I also have family around the country and it is nice to keep in touch that way. The last time I came back was right after a family reunion. As soon as I logged back on, I deleted almost half of my friends list. I didn't need people from high school who I hadn't seen in 15 years on Facebook. I just put Liam down for nap. Dh is out for the afternoon. I am going to make a cup of coffee and read a book. Enjoy your new free time, wife!

    Ha boredom is what keeps me from deleting mine. And it's fortunate I didn't, otherwise we wouldn't have found out what my new nephew's name is and be able to pass that info on to his grandparents who don't have a computer but have a phone which apparently BIL is unable to operate.

    I deactivated mine almost 2 yrs ago & I'm happy I did. Dh hates Facebook soo it would cause some problems but I do miss seeing pics of family & stuff on it.
