DH and the clicker (remote)

He always takes the clicker before we go to bed then falls asleep with it in his hand or way on the other side of him. Why can't he just let me have it so I don't have to wake him up or practically get out of bed to get it? He also does it when we are on opposite sides of the living room so I end up watching ESPN while he's snoring.

I've taken over the bedroom remote for that reason. In the living room, we have a designated spot it goes when it isn't in active use. It sits on the armrest of the couch so it is available to everyone

My husband does the same thing, except it is with the iPad in his nightstand. He always puts on something I don't like, usually with the volume too loud and falls asleep within a few minutes. I either have to crawl on top of him to turn it off or he out of bed to get it.

Can you get a second remote?  I know they make universal remotes that can be programmed.
