Is he finished after one side?

I've read some posts that say "if LO only takes one side" and stuff.  When my DS is finished with one side, he always pretty much falls asleep.  I wake him up a little and switch to the other side.  If he was only going to take one side, would he then refuse the other side?

    Offer it; if he takes it, great.  If not, he's probably not hungry anymore.  My DD takes the second side about half of the time.

    Go with your instinct and offer the other breast. If he doesn't want it, he won't take it.

    My DD has almost always taken only one side. She will only take both sides if she is STARVING or if I just pumped and am a tad short on milk. :) Offer the other but if he doesn't take it, don't stress!

    I have the same problem..baby acts like she is starving..does one side, then falls asleep.  I offer other side and if she doesn't want it..put her down for a nap.  Sometimes she will wake up and do both.  Always different!

    I was worried she wasn't getting enough milk but I guess she would tell me if she wasn't

    LO eats one side at a time, so he is pretty much finished.
