I just want to wear jeans

::cries:: Ok maybe I'm being a little dramatic but I haven't been able to wear jeans for at least a month. We are going out with friends tonight and the place we are going is a country like bar. DH is begging me not to wear leggings but I really have no choice. It's either leggings or sweatpants (not happening). Even sweatpants with elastic is too tight for me right now.     The waistband lies right on my incisions. It doesn't feel great and makes me want to rip off my pants asap.

    I don't blame you at all.  I live in jeans when I'm not at work so I can't imagine not being able to wear them.  Tell your DH to STFU.

    My Target actually sells these on an end cap (near the kitchen stuff, oddly enough).

    He got a nice little lesson on empathy. What an odd time to be so concerned about what I wear. I think he just doesn't want me to stick out since everyone will be in some sort of flannel and jeans but I really don't give two shiits right now.

    I know exactly where they would be. They have a few shelves of "as seen on tv" stuff. I agree though the kitchen things is an odd place to put it.

    I understand this part, but your reasoning makes sense. You're not just refusing to participate; your surgery was still pretty recent and your body isn't done healing.

    I feel your pain. I had back surgery over the summer and spent a good nine or ten weeks wearing yoga pants, and all I wanted was my jeans.

    I'm new here, and I don't have a lot of expertise, BUT - your husband is right.  You need PJ jeans.  Seriously, I have them and they are so comfy and I promise no one ever suspects they are PJ jeans.  Run down to Walgreen's and grab some!!

    THIS! I own two pairs. I started wearing them while writing my thesis and when i get KTFU you can bet I will wear them to work. The best part, unless someone touches your pants they never know they are not just really dark jeans.
