My little one came a little early. She was born this past Tuesday January 24th at 4:37am, weighing in at 7lbs 2oz. We named her Elizabeth Rose after much deliberation. One of my nurses mentioned she knew an Elizabeth once that went by Libby. I have never heard this NN before but I liked it a lot and that's probably what I will call her, and am already calling her.
I couldn't have asked for a better delivery, everything went smashingly. Other than my Dr not getting called. I guess my Dr's preference is that for her own patients she gets called but instead they called the on call doc for the group. Which turned out to be quite ironic because the last time I was working with her I was teasing her about something and told her "Oh I better be nice to you, knowing my luck you'll end up delivering my baby!"
At some point I will have to take the time to actually write down my birth story. Overall I went in without a plan or preconceived notion of how anything would go and just went with the flow and it turned out to be awesome.
Now to try and get something done before her first Ped appt.
Re: Home with baby!
yay congrats again!!! I saw it on FB and she is just the cutest thing I've ever seen!!! Please when you get a chance post your birth story, I love to find out how it went. Did your water break too?
And good for you about not going in with any specific plan! I did that myself and there was no room for disappointment, just went with the flow and what happened happened (well aside from the fact that I knew I wanted an epidural
)
Congrats!
I didn't go in with a plan either which I think helped me too.

Congrats!!
Eta: I like Libby too. I have a Lydia who we always call Lydie. It's cute.

Exactly!!! Here we all thought we'd run into each other in the hallways!!!
Congratulations!!! Glad that everything went well!
