Domperidone

I don't know if this goes against TOS or not, but if it does, feel free to let me know.  I purchased a large amount of Domperidone after my DD was born and I have one box left.  I have insufficent glandular tissue, so no matter what I do, I'm not going to increase my supply any more than what it is now... very low.  :(  I am looking to sell or trade for the last box (of 100).  Is anyone interested or know of anywhere I could do this?  Feel free to PM me too.  Thanks!

Re: Domperidone

  • Do you mind me asking how you found out you had insufficient glandular tissue?  Just wandering if that might be my issue..

I have IGT too and I found out by seeing a LC (several of them, actually). She basically took my BF history...my breast never felt full or hard and didn't change much from pre pregnancy. I also did everything "right" as far as trying to establish a good supply. She felt my breast and didn't feel many glands. I'm still trying to BF because I figured a little is better than none but I have to supplement with mostly formula. Good luck! I hope you don't have it! I'd def go see a LC.

  • I was never officially diagnosed by anyone.  The term was mentioned to me by either an LC or my OB (I can't remember which in the hazey days after DD#2 was born.)  But my breasts slightly have cone shape to them, my nipples are slightly larger, and one is slightly bigger then the other.  Though I haven't seen a whole lot of other women's breasts in real life, I really don't think mine look that much different, they just are "slight" in every area.  I felt my milk come in with both of my LOs, but I was never engorged or leaked.  I also didn't have any changes with my breasts during pregnancies.  And I have PCOS.  It's funny, because I had mastitis with my first and felt like I was very close to getting it with my second... I always "felt" my milk come in (a tingly sensation) and was uncomfortable if I didn't nurse for a while.  I guess whatever ducts I have would fill up with milk and that is what I felt.

I really hope you don't have it.  I am devastated that I will never be able to provide even half of what my children would need in breastmilk.  I also did everything right as far as establishing a supply with nursing on demand, pumping, herbs, I got my thyroid checked, saw LCs, etc. but nothing worked.   I would go see an LC too.  GL!
