Hey Ladies,
Our Calin Bleu Cotten Gauze wrap finally arrived and I am a little disappointed. I actually ordered this for my husband who is 6'2" and 200lbs. I tried it out before he did and it SO SHORT!! Way shorter than our Moby.
We have the Large. I am only 5'4" 125lbs and our baby is about 9lbs. With the three carries I have tried I only end up with a tiny stub when I tie off the wrap.
Anyone else have this issue? Do you have recommendations for other "cool" wovens that are much longer? I am off to check out other wraps online now, but would really appreciate any suggestions. TIA

Re: Calin Bleu vs. Other Wovens
I have a Calin Bleu size medium (4.6). I am 5'6" and about 150 lbs right now. It is a lot shorter than the strechy wrap I started out with( was a 5.4). It took some getting used to and I tie off in back instead of crossing and tying in front. There isn't a lot of tail left but that is okay. I really do like the wrap and it worked great for a cool wrap for DS and DD. I
was even able to wrap DS in it when he wanted in when I was showing my mom how to wrap DD. He was 28 months and about 26 lbs at the time.
I always do the Front wrap cross carry as they show in their instructions. https://www.calinbleu.com/pages/Front-Carries.html
I deffenetly don't have a long tail like in their instructions though.
I don't really have suggestions of other wraps but it seems strange that you would be barely able to get you DC in it on you being that you are smaller than me using a longer wrap. Maybe try using the carries in their instructions?
I also have a Vatanai which is really soft but way hotter than the Calin.
I just looked and a a mobi is 5.5m and your Calin should be 5.2. Which means that it is 12 inches shorter (!) plus it isn't strechy which makes it feel shorter. I really think if you try wrapping differently it will probably work fine for at least you if not you DH.
Good luck!
I used 100% cotton wraps all last summer and didn't have any problems. I dressed me in tank, had baby in his diaper, and away we went. VA summer are hot and humid, so that is ine testament, but we also used cotton in the Carribean on vacation while adventuring around, long walks, etc. That said, some parents prefer the coolness of a linen/cotton blend. I am selling a linen/cotton Natibaby wrap, but it is 4.2 meters, so I think it will be way too short for what you are looking for right now.
As for length, Mobys are very long. If you go with a woven wrap, it sounds like you will want a size 7 so it can fit your DH. It will also fit you, but you will have a long tail or need to wrap it around your waist a few times. If you want to use a shorter wrap, you could learn some carries that require less length, like the kangaroo or the cross-carry.
