Did I mess up my injection?

I gave myself my Bravelle shot today and when I pulled out the needle, meds came out of my stomach.  Not a lot but enough to run down my stomach a little.  I have never had this happen before.  Sometimes I've had blood come out but never meds. Has this happened to anyone?

Do you think I messed something up?  Should I call the on call Dr. or just wait until my appointment on Wed. to just mention it to him?

    I'm definitely no expert, but I'd say if it was just a little, I would think you'd be fine. But if a call to the RE would ease your mind, do it.

    A trick I've read about is to keep the needle in a few seconds after you finish injecting.

    IUI #5 (12/1/12) --> Follistim + 1/3 hCG Trigger = BFP! EDD: 8/23/13
    Betas --> 61 (13dpo) // 156 (16 dpo) // 223 (18dpo) // 656 (21 dpo)
    U/S --> 5w0d - sac seen // 6w0d - hb detected // 7w0d - hb seen and heard, measuring 6w6d!
    8w6d - wiggly baby! // 9w3d - wiggly baby with fingers!

    Like PP mentioned, I'm sure it could not have been that much of the med, just a drop (?) I would mention it next appointment.  And in the future, I was told to always leave the needle in and count to five after pushing in all the meds.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN

    It does not mess anything up. Like others said,keep needle in the muscle for a few seconds after all the med is pushed. When u get a small drop leaking out it's just the med following the needle track. (I am an rn).

    It probably doesn't mess anything up as others have said. I just wanted to add that I take injections for migraines and if I tense up a little (who wouldn't needles hurt!) a drop or too of medicine run out. If it tense a lot or pull the needle out too quickly a lot squirts out.  So try not to tense and count to 5 before pulling needle out is my advice. GL!
