I am so stressed right now. DS starts daycare in a week. He is EBF. I have been giving him a bottle with pumped milk occasionally since two weeks. We started out with Nuk bottles, but he was gulping because it came out so fast, choking, and had really bad gas pain. So we tried Born Free, but he still had lots of gas pain from swallowing air. Then we tried the playtex Ventair Adv. He did really good with those for a couple of weeks. The past week everytime I give him the Playtex he chews on it or pushes it out with his tongue and cries. He wants nothing to do with it. So today I tried an Avent I had at home with a slow nipple and he was so uncoordinated with his suck that 80% of the milk squited out of his mouth and he acted like it was too fast and he was about to choke. I am at a loss. I was already dreading daycare so much and this is making it so much worse. I don't know if I should try different bottles like Tommee Tippee or Breastflow or just keep working with what we have. And I hate to keep wasting bottles of pumped milk for him to refuse or waste. But I can't just send him to daycare and hope he eats. What should I do? I plan on leaving work the first few days to nurse him at lunch, but I can't do that everyday.

Re: Stressed about daycare (nipple confusion??)
I'd just keep trying (or have DH try) with the same bottles. I'm sure he'll get used to it after a while and be fine for dc. Most babies are from what I've heard!
DD screamed when DH gave her a bottle for several times. We just kept with the same bottles (Playtex Ventaire) and eventually she got used to them. DH gave her a bottle a couple times a week for a few weeks before dc and she took bottles fine at dc and will nurse fine when she's w/ me!
