Had my first follie check post-stims today, and it doesn't look very good. I had 12 follies at the baseline; but today I had only 6 10mm on my right side, and 2 more 5-6 mm on the left. I am so disappointed; I thought those 12 follies to start with was great, and that they'd stick around.
At least we aren't cancelled; and 8 is all the doc was expecting to retrieve from me considering my diagnosis. But this hurt.

Re: Monitoring appt not so good...
I am so sorry your appt didn't go as well as you'd hoped. FX that those 8 stick around.

Chemical Pregnancy
You have plenty of time. I had zero response even in my E2 at the first monitoring appt. Some people, especially DOR people like us, respond very slowly. Tonight will be night 10 stimming for me. Also, I only have 3 with a possible 4th trying to catch up, and I am ecstatic! 6-8 are awesome # for DOR that many of us will NEVER see. So, honestly be thankful for 6-8. It could be a lot worse. Sending growing vibes your way. Also, quality over quantity is the DOR mantra. A lot of girls can produce 20+, sure, but a lot of them can still be poor quality with nothing to freeze.
ETA: just out of curiosity.....I see in your siggy that you are on Met....is that help with quality or something else? Just wanted to know if this is something I should bring up to me RE. Thanks!

Ugh..I'm sorry. I'm on this roller coaster ride with you right now! On stims and as of yesterday, day 8, only 4 measurable follies. So I hear you loud and clear.
I hope those 8 stick around and a few more show up for the party...
I'm sorry! I am in the exact same boat-I had 8 follicles at my monitoring appt today. When I went in Thursday I only had 6 and they weren't growing, so I was really afraid of being cancelled.
A day or two can make a big difference, so maybe another couple will pop up for you! If not-it only takes one!

Lynn--
Thanks so much; this was definitely a reminder that I need to be thankful for what I have. At least I'm here, and I'm still in it with 6-8. I hope your follies continue to grow--I've been watching your updates closely, and cheering for you!
About the Metformin--I'm in a clinical trial at my RE to test Met. They think it helps with reducing miscarriage, and maybe in becoming PG, but they don't really know why. They've just seen increased pregnancies when its taken (with non-PCOS women). Sorry I can't be more helpful--you could ask your RE about the trial (but I think its specific to my office).
