DH and I want to take a trip to NYC for our anniversary. Neither of us have ever been before. Do any of you have any hotel or restaurant recommendations? TIA.

how much do you want to spend? best meal I ever ate was in NYC, but it was also the most expensive we've ever had! It was at Daniel. Sooooooooo good, but like $300 for the two of us, yikes!
We have been saving for a while. We are using sky miles for the flight. Don't really have a budget. We aren't planning on every meal being ridiculously expensive, but 1 or 2 meals would be ok. (We have spent $275 on a meal for the 2 of us before on special occasions and it didn't bother us).

so fun! When we were picking out a place, I basically read tons of menus and reviews to find one that suited us best. I really wanted to try Le Bernardin but knew that DH would not be down for 7 courses of semi raw fish! Jealous!

We really like Bistro Moderne - not super pricey, but a great meal. We usually priceline hotels, and have had luck with the Sheraton and the Algonquin.
we had a great meal at compass (it's around lincoln center). we love heartlland brewery for a good burger or steak, and john's pizza is a really cool place for a some good italian/pizza. it's in an old church.

Ahhh Carmine's is one of THE BEST for family style Italian! And not super expensive. Their tirimisu is to die for... here is their website: https://www.carminesnyc.com/
