Follistim expiration?

So, I have a little left in the cartridge that is in the pen right now. It was placed in the pen on 1/1. I thought that it was only good in the pen for 28 days, but the vial states once "dispensed", it's good for 3 months. It says nothing about 28 days. Does dispensed mean kept out of the refrigerator, or that the seal is broken?

Which is correct, once the seal is broken on the vial? 28 days or 3 months?

Like insulin vials, its only 28 days once the seal is broken. Their 3 month rule is time out of the fridge. (of course we know lots of people who use their insulin past 28 days and it still works.. just sayin.. I struggled with the idea of having to throw mine away, too)

I just wanted to be sure before I take it out and pitch it. Ugh! It is tough to throw it away. Part of me is thinking I should have cycled this month.

You can always call and ask. I know some REs will let you stim with meds that are past their expiration dates. I just donated a bunch of expired follistim, and her RE ok'd it.
