Induction scheduled...nervous

No progress at my 40w appt today and pregnancy has been causing my asthma to go into overdrive so I'm giving the baby another week and scheduling an induction for 41w. I'm a little nervous about the decision after hearing a bunch of induction horror stories but I don't think I could handle another two weeks with constant breathing issues. I just needed to vent, thanks ladies.

    There's still hope !!! I went to my 40 week today and my Obgyn gave me some things to try and did tell me not to give up !!!!!!

    It's not that scary! There are some good induction stories too... my first son was induced medically and I had him after less than 6 hours of labor! If this induction is just as easy, i'll be really excited.

    I agree. I was induced at 41 weeks last Friday and everything went well. I was 1-2 cm when I was admitted and I was having strong but painless contractions. I had my son 8 hours after they started me on pitocin. I was pretty nervous about getting pitocin because I've heard horror stories about the pain. I asked to have the epi first  first which was a smart move. Good luck and think positive!

    I was induced twice.  First one was 9 hours and second was 5 and ended in a c/s- which had nothing to do with the induction- the baby just couldn't handle the pushing bc he was in his cord and his hr was decelerating.

     Don't worry.  For every induction horror story there are several good ones and no matter what, you're LO will be here in the end and that's all that matters.

    I just had an induction a few days ago, and it was fabulous.  Calm, relaxed, quick (start to finish about 8 hours), and I only pushed for 30 minutes.  You'll be fine!  Good luck :)

    I have an induction scheduled for next week and I'm suddenly nervous too.  I think it's part anxious energy knowing that there is an end date (unless baby decides to come on his own accord before then, which would be awesome).  Good luck you!
