did your doc really stick it IN your butt? Mine just swabs the outside. Literally brushes it...not so bad. Same with the vagina.

With DS, the doc had me to do it myself! That was entertaining and interesting considering I could hardly reach down there to swab myself and didn't know what I was doing! But they told me that I just had to swab the outside, no insertion at all.

This for me too. I asked my MW about it and she said she just basically rubs the Qtip all around the outside down there but feels no need (or desire) to stick it IN the butt. My OB last time never stuck it in my butt either, he just wiped around it.

Hmm... Maybe it felt more invasive because of the beautiful hemmies. I even asked DH later what it was that they used... he said long q-tip.... because it felt like a wire brush!

Mine was a vaginal swab and then just a light tap on the outside, nothing in the butt.

THIS, I had a GBS swab when I was admitted and I could have SWORE they stuck the swab up the butt but the nurse said it was probably from where I was swollen due to hemmies.
