Augmentin and breastfeeding, mastitis questions?

Anybody take augmentin for mastitis?  I am not 100% sure I have mastitis, on call doc called me in augmentin and said to take if symptoms do not improve by this evening.  My left breast has hot red area and am having breast pain.  I also feel awful and have some chills but no fever.  Has anyone else taken while breastfeeding?  any problems with babies, that is my biggest concern.  thank you very much for your time

    I took it with my 2nd daughter for mastitis.  She got thrush around that time.  I don't know if it was related, but was easily cleared with a med for her .  Otherwise no problem.  Mastitis can make you feel pretty awful, so I'd take it of you're starting to have chills and such.
