Just curious - waking 2 times to eat still common

OUr DD wakes twice.  First time after 4-6 hours (usually 4-5) and second another 3 hours after first.  She goes back to sleep easily so I'm happy to keep this schedule for now especially since she's such a distracted eater during the day.

At some point if she doesn't self-drop these night feedings I will want to intervene but it seems like they are common even up through 9 months or more.

I still feed same amount during day though am considering increasing her daycare bottles from 3 to 3.5 oz to see if that has any  impact.  I haven't yet mostly because I have to pump more in order to do that and I've sort of felt like it was fine to send what I pump.

    DS#1 woke twice a night until he was 9 months old.  Until he was 6 months or so he would nurse like a barracuda each time he woke up and once he was on a bottle he would suck back an 8 oz bottle within 10 minutes so he was legitimately hungry.  We tried decreasing the intake of food thinking that he was waking out of habit but then he just woke more frequently.  Every baby is different so if you're not bothered by the waking, I would just continue and follow your baby's lead.  She'll sleep longer stretches when her body is ready to.  DS#2 just turned 4 months and wakes 3 sometimes 4 times as night.  He nurses and goes back to sleep so count your blessings that you have a LO that only wakes twice.

    My DD still wakes 2-3x a night and guzzles from the breast for about 10-15 minutes before going down easily. I'm not sure what is up because there was a strech a few weeks ago where she was sleeping 6-7 hours before waking up for her 1st feeding. I'm starting to wonder if she's not eating as much during the day? Anyway, you are not alone!

    When she was 3.5 months old she was really close to sleeping 10-6. Then she went to daycare, had a growth spurt, 4MW, etc and is back to waking twice at night and is so hungry. She will down 16oz of bf at daycare too.

    Thanks - she does eat like a champ those times at night.  The only time I don't feed her is if she wakes an hour or so after just eating -- then she usually fusses a few minutes and goes back to sleep.

    I'm going to try and send 12 oz to daycare (she's been eating 9 sometimes 12) and make the first 3 bottles 3.5 (instead of 3) and the 4th bottle the remainder since I know she'll do 3 and the 4th depends on naps etc.  As it is I have to pump 3x at work and then once a day on my days off to get the 12 oz for each day care day so it is hard to keep up with that.  4oz still seems like too much.

    Yeah my LO still wakes up twice to eat at night. I've tried increasing his intake during the day but that did't seem to help. So twice a night it is. If your LO takes a paci you could try it my niece will take one and contin?e to sleeps.
