Bring on the chocolate cake!

Today I had my 3-hr GTT, and I passed it!

They told me that I had to be fasting at midnight, so I figured that they would start the test at 8am or so. So, I went to bed late last night (around 2am or so) since, well, I have nowhere to be and I've always been a night owl. Well, much to my surprise, the lady from the lab came into my room at 4:30am!! 4:30am!!! She came to draw my first vial of blood fasting. Then, she returned at 6am to have me drink the glorious glucola drink (yuck--at least it was cold), and then proceeded to come in at 7am, 8am, and 9am to draw the vials of blood. Needless to say, I had a terrible night's sleep, since I couldn't really sleep for more than 1 or 2 hours at a time! I guess it's getting me ready for what life will be like when I have a newborn, right? Smile

Also, I'm happy to report that after 16 days in the hospital, DH has finally mastered the art of tying the hospital gowns in the back for me. Smile

Have a good weekend everyone! Hopefully after my ultrasound to check my AFI on Sunday, and continued good monitoring with the baby, I will get to go home and sleep in my Tempurpedic! Fingers crossed!
