Today I had my 3-hr GTT, and I passed it!
They told me that I had to be fasting at midnight, so I figured that they would start the test at 8am or so. So, I went to bed late last night (around 2am or so) since, well, I have nowhere to be and I've always been a night owl. Well, much to my surprise, the lady from the lab came into my room at 4:30am!! 4:30am!!! She came to draw my first vial of blood fasting. Then, she returned at 6am to have me drink the glorious glucola drink (yuck--at least it was cold), and then proceeded to come in at 7am, 8am, and 9am to draw the vials of blood. Needless to say, I had a terrible night's sleep, since I couldn't really sleep for more than 1 or 2 hours at a time! I guess it's getting me ready for what life will be like when I have a newborn, right?
Also, I'm happy to report that after 16 days in the hospital, DH has finally mastered the art of tying the hospital gowns in the back for me.
Have a good weekend everyone! Hopefully after my ultrasound to check my AFI on Sunday, and continued good monitoring with the baby, I will get to go home and sleep in my Tempurpedic! Fingers crossed!
