I've heard many commercial home fragrances aren't so great for respiratory health (and presumably the environment too), but I have three pets and a baby in diapers, and quite frankly, we could use some help making the home smell fresher. We already do the basics (clean with vinegar, vacuum rug with baking soda, open windows and doors as often as we can), but I'd like to add a scent.
What do y'all use? Are there any wax warmers (like Yankee or Scentsy) that are greener or safer than others ... or are those all a no-no? Essential oils maybe? TIA for any education or suggestions you can provide!

I make my own carpet sprinkles using baking soda and a few drops of essential oils. Sprinkle the carpet and vacuum it up. I've been liking orange and bergamot lately.
I also make a spray using equal parts water and vinegar and a few drops of EO, for when I need a lift.
DH doesn't like candles burning, and I've gotten distracted and let my pot run dry when using a simmer method.
